Wizards of the Coast has been slow in producing content for 5e, and other than the Forgotten Realms the pre-existing campaign settings for it have been barely supported, if at all. This includes the apocalyptic setting of Dark Sun. However, a fan of the setting named Kiel Chenier did us all a favor by…
creating a sweet home-brew PDF for playing Dark Sun in 5e
We haven’t gotten a chance to play it yet, but here are a few thoughts:
- The Mul’s hit dice bonus may be too much of a good thing, compared to other races
- We at Icygeek have also thought that one could do psionics by just reflavouring the sorcerer, and that was done here as well. We probably would have just made a whole new sorcerous origin, but their take should work as well.
- They definitely want to make sure you don’t play a cleric or paladin.
- What the heck is FLAILSNAILS???
This is a welcome addition to the internet D&D community. Thanks Kiel.
